Professional OverviewAs an intern at the DoubleTree Hotel, I had the opportunity to work in the Housekeeping Department as a Laundry Attendant and Houseperson. I have also had the opportunity to intern at DC Central Office as an Office assistant. More recently, I interned at King St. Oyster Bar as a Bus Person.
These internship experiences gave me the opportunity to strengthen my typing skills, inventory skills, attention to detail, custodial skills, data entry skills, folding skills, my organization skills, and customer service. Additionally, I have been accepted into two Workforce Development Programs; one is at River Terrace Education Campus and the other at Project SEARCH Hilton Capital Area Region. Through my participation in these programs, I gained professionalism, job readiness training, and computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.). At my internship sites, I demonstrated that I'm a hard worker, flexible, and punctual. I have worked on many challenging projects during the past year, and I'm eager to develop more skills and help with more projects. My experiences have lead me to gain employment as a part-time Sales Associate at W.S. Jenks & Son Hardware Store where I will stock, inventory, and provide excellent customer service. |
